About Stackly — Founded 2011

Miami · Los Angeles · Dallas · Chicago · Seattle · Boston

A small practice, deliberately so.

We began with a single Coconut Grove listing and a conviction that the top of the American market was being served with volume rather than judgement. Fifteen years later the shape of the firm is unchanged: eleven advisors, one standard of preparation, and a client list that grows almost entirely by introduction.

The story

Built listing by listing, never by acquisition.

Maren Oduya and Peter Ashworth opened the practice above a framing shop on Grand Avenue with two mandates and a shared view of what was missing: written valuations, honest counsel about timing, and a campaign built for a specific buyer rather than an audience.

Growth came slowly and by request. A Miami client moving to Scottsdale asked us to represent them there; a Dallas family office asked the same. Each new market began with one mandate and a local partner who already knew the streets.

Today we hold licences in six states and work with cooperating counsel in four more. The firm has never bought a book of business, and every advisor still carries their own listings.

Philosophy

Four beliefs we do not flex

They decide which mandates we accept, and occasionally which ones we decline.

i.

The price is a finding, not an opinion

If we cannot evidence a number with closed sales, we will say so before you sign, even when it costs us the mandate.

ii.

One advisor, start to close

The person who values your property runs the viewings and the negotiation. Nothing is handed to a junior desk.

iii.

Discretion by default

Addresses, figures and photography stay within the mandate unless you ask us to publish them. No case studies without consent.

iv.

Advice outlives the transaction

We review every asset we sell annually for as long as the client holds it, whether or not another sale is in view.

Why clients choose us

Four reasons the same names keep returning.

Local knowledge that is actually local

Every market is covered by an advisor who lives in it and has closed there in the last twelve months.

A private buyer list, not a mailing list

Roughly four hundred qualified households and family offices, contacted individually and only when relevant.

Preparation paid for by us

Photography, floor plans, styling consultation and pre-listing survey are carried by the firm, not billed to you.

Straight answers about timing

If the right move is to wait two quarters, that is the advice you will get, in writing.
